What is Afterpay?

Afterpay is available for our customers from Australia and New Zealand. We’ve teamed up with Afterpay Australia so that we can offer the option to pay for your chosen items in manageable chunks. Afterpay splits your total into 4 easy instalments, payable every fortnight.

In order to make use of this service you must, of course, be over 18 years old and a holder of a debit or credit card account. This card may be checked during the process of application to ensure you have the funds available to pay the required instalments. Afterpay is interest free, but late fees may occur if you do not keep up with your payment schedule.

What is LayBuy?

Similar to Afterpay, LayBuy is a service we work with to spread your clothing costs, little ones are expensive after all! Instead of 4 fortnightly payments, LayBuy works in 6 weekly instalments. Simply select LayBuy as your preferred method of payment and complete the order. You will get to choose your payment day and schedule.

What is ZipPay?

ZipPay is another option we offer, to make sure you can pick the right option for you. With ZipPay terms can be more flexible and you choose how you would like to pay the balance back. The terms are interest free, like the others, but there is a monthly fee applied to your account which is waived it you pay back the full amount before the due date.

What should I choose at the checkout?

Well, that’s very much up to you and your circumstances. We, of course, accept payment today via American Express, Mastercard, PayPal, Visa and Shopify. You’ll find links to these providers next to their logos on every purchase page, where full terms and conditions can be viewed. At Nixons Closet, we make sure our clothes are all high fashion with low prices, but sometimes you might still need a little help. We offer different ways for you to pay in instalments rather than all at once.

What afterpay methods do we offer?

We offer three different ways of paying in instalments: afterpay, Laybuy, and Zip.

With afterpay, you can make 4 interest free payments fortnightly. You have to make an account with afterpay and meet all the qualifications for the account. It won’t affect your credit score as there is no credit check beforehand, however if you do have lots of overdue afterpay payments, you may be declined on your purchase.

With Laybuy, you can pay in 6 transactions weekly with no interest. The payments will be taken automatically every week on your scheduled day. You can manage this both instore and online via the app.

With Zip, you have to pay them a $6 monthly fee, but you can choose how you pay it back interest free. Because Zip pays us, you only have to pay Zip. And if you pay before the due date, they’ll waive the fee!

What you can buy with afterpay

Afterpay is mostly for your bigger orders, but you can pay like this for all of the products we sell, whether it’s a $5 hairband, a $70 nappy bag or a full $200 order. All you have to do is choose which method you’d like to use at the checkout, and work with whichever company you choose.

Of course, you don’t have to use afterpay, you can buy our products outright if you wish, but sometimes afterpay is easier on your bank account as it’s not all coming out at once, especially if you’re paid weekly or fortnightly.

We ship worldwide

While we are an Aussie based business, we do ship worldwide. We even offer free delivery on all orders over $120. Our delivery is quick and simple as we also source from international sellers so your order will be shipped from each supplier directly. Delivery will take between 7 and 14 days to reach you from an international supplier, which takes into consideration any problems which could occur through transit and customs, meaning it could reach you even sooner.

You can track your order online with your order number and email address so you can see the processes each order goes through before it reaches you.
